Shelley Does Dallas
i-Cue and BBS team-up to wow audiences at ASMBS Annual Convention.
July 6, 2009 Cincinnati OH -- While she may be less visible than the notorious "Debbie", Shelley BB recently took her own brand of show business to Dallas – where she assisted a key client with presentations at the annual convention of the American Society for Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery.
Shelley’s client – Bariatric Business Solutions (BBS) – was a featured presenter, conducting sessions on how to market bariatric services in today’s competitive heath care environment.
As at any large convention, BBS faced the challenge of standing out from all the other presenters, sponsors and exhibitors.
In response, Shelley supported the talented BBS team with her trademark creativity to deliver "remarkable" presentations that drew rave reviews at all three sessions. The audiences were comprised of surgeons and surgical nurses from leading hospitals throughout the U.S.
BBS' objective was to educate hospital clinical teams in the "six steps to bariatric marketing success." BBS also hoped to create relationships with the audiences that could lead to contracts for marketing services at their respective hospitals and bariatric centers.
Shelley’s i-Cue team delivered on all fronts, including:
- Helping the presenters organize their content and the flow of their presentations
- Designing and producing the PowerPoint visuals
- Creating and scripting dramatic skits that engaged the audience and illustrated the value of marketing in bariatrics
- Coaching and rehearsals to prepare the team for its trip to the convention.
On site at the Gaylord Hotel in Dallas, Shelley directed the rehearsals and monitored audience response during the presentations. According to the BBS team, the evaluations from both the audience and company executives were “off the charts.” The live skits and well-prepared presenters had enabled BBS to stand out from the crowd.
And once again, Shelley had demonstrated the value of her admonition to clients: "Stop talking and start communicating."
On the heels of her Dallas success, Shelley will now focus on producing a series of interactive video modules for Time Timer, a time-management device used worldwide in education, business and everyday life. Shelley’s i-Cue team wrote the scripts; Jeff Gardner (Optasia) is the videographer. Shelley will also direct the shoots and serve as spokesperson for Time Timer. By the way, Debbie (of Dallas fame) was not invited to audition for the on-camera roles.
